Tips for preventing colds and flu.
Wash your hands regularly:
Keep washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after touching public surfaces or after coughing and sneezing.
You can use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
Avoid touching your face:
Touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unclean hands can transmit viruses to your body, so try to avoid this habit.
Maintain a safe distance from others:
Try to avoid getting close to people with cold or flu symptoms, and stay away from crowded places during the virus season.
Cover your mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing:
Use a tissue when sneezing or coughing and dispose of it immediately, or use your elbow if there is no tissue, to prevent the spread of droplets containing viruses.
Stay hydrated:
Drinking enough water helps hydrate the body and respiratory tract, which reduces the chances of viruses multiplying and boosts the body’s immunity.
