Symptoms and treatment of food poisoning

Symptoms of food poisoning:
Nausea and vomiting: A common symptom that appears quickly after eating contaminated food.
Diarrhea: It may be watery or bloody.
Abdominal pain: It is in the form of severe stomach cramps.
Fever: A person may experience a high temperature.
Fatigue and exhaustion: As a result of losing fluids and nutrients.
Headache: It is also a common symptom.
Dehydration: It appears due to the body losing fluids through diarrhea and vomiting.
Treatment of food poisoning:
Rest: It is important to get complete rest to give the body a chance to recover.
Replace fluids: Drink large amounts of fluids such as water or rehydration solutions to replace what the body has lost.
You can prepare a water solution containing salt and sugar at home or use rehydration solutions available in pharmacies.
Diet:
Start eating light, non-irritating foods such as rice, toast, and bananas.
Avoid fatty, fried, and spicy foods until the digestive system returns to normal.
Medications:

Antiemetics: can be used to relieve nausea and vomiting if severe.

Antidiarrheals: such as loperamide, but it is preferable to consult a doctor before taking them.

Antibiotics: are given only in cases of poisoning resulting from bacterial infection, and must be prescribed by a doctor.
