Exercises to improve blood pressure
1. Brisk walking
Walking briskly for 30 minutes a day improves blood flow and lowers blood pressure. You can start slowly and gradually increase the speed.
2. Aerobic exercises (cardio)
Includes running, cycling, or swimming. Try to do these exercises 3-5 times a week for 30 minutes.
3. Resistance exercises (weight lifting)
Doing resistance exercises using light weights helps strengthen muscles and increase the efficiency of blood circulation. Do them two to three times a week, focusing on light weights and a higher number of repetitions.
4. Deep breathing exercises and meditation (such as yoga)
These exercises help relieve stress that may be causing high blood pressure. Do deep breathing exercises or meditation for 5-10 minutes a day.
5. Swimming or water exercises
Swimming and low-impact water exercises are suitable for improving the heart and reducing pressure without stressing the joints.
